Community Rules

Last updated: 28 July 2026

These Community Rules cover how players are expected to treat each other and the Game. They sit alongside, and are enforceable under, the prohibited-conduct and termination sections of our Terms of Service.

1. Chat conduct

Chat, alliance channels, and any other place players can message each other are meant for coordinating and enjoying the Game together. Keep it civil. Disagreements happen; personal attacks, pile-ons, and deliberately derailing conversation to provoke other players do not belong here.

2. Harassment, hate speech, and threats

We do not allow harassment of other players, including repeated unwanted contact, doxxing or sharing someone's private information without consent, sexual harassment, or targeted campaigns against a player across alliances or channels. We do not allow hate speech: content that attacks or demeans people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or similar characteristics. We do not allow threats of violence or real-world harm against any person, made seriously or "as a joke."

3. Spam and advertising

Do not flood chat with repeated messages, unrelated links, or promotional content. Advertising other games, services, Discord servers, or external accounts without our permission is not allowed, including through alliance names, profile text, or repeated chat messages.

4. Real-money trading of accounts or goods

Buying, selling, or trading accounts, gems, or other Virtual Goods for real money, cryptocurrency, or goods and services outside the Game is not allowed, whether you're the buyer, the seller, or just advertising the trade on someone else's behalf. This mirrors the no-cash-out and account-trading provisions in our Terms of Service, and applies regardless of which platform the trade is arranged on.

5. Exploiting bugs instead of reporting them

Games have bugs. If you find one that lets you gain resources, troops, gems, or any other advantage in a way that clearly isn't intended, report it to us rather than using it. Knowingly exploiting a bug for gain, or telling others how to exploit it before it's reported and fixed, is treated the same as cheating. Good-faith bug reports are welcome and will never be penalized, even if you stumbled onto the bug while playing normally.

6. Enforcement ladder

How we respond depends on the severity and history of the conduct, and we may skip straight to a harsher step for serious violations (for example, threats of violence, or automation that materially undermines fair play):

  • Mute — temporary loss of access to chat and other communication features, for chat-conduct and harassment issues.
  • Suspension — temporary loss of access to your account, typically used for repeated violations or moderate-severity conduct like a first instance of exploiting or automation.
  • Ban — permanent termination of your account and licence to its Virtual Goods, used for serious or repeated violations, including cheating, botting, account or goods trading, chargeback abuse, and severe harassment or threats.

Our automated abuse-detection systems flag suspicious activity for human review; enforcement decisions above a mute are made or confirmed by a person.

7. Appeals

If you believe enforcement action was taken in error, email [email protected] with your account's email address and a description of what happened. We will review the decision; a different reviewer than the one who took the original action will handle the appeal where practical. Filing an appeal does not pause the enforcement action while it is under review.
